Community Expectations

  • The dignity and confidentiality of each person is recognized and respected in all interactions provided by Manna. We aim for relationships of mutual respect.

  • Everyone has the right to feel safe. We aim to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Violence, theft, profanity, physical or verbal abuse, harassment and destruction of property will not be tolerated. Access to services may be limited, suspended, and/or terminated.

  • Weapons of any kind are not permitted on Manna’s property.

  • Manna is a drug and alcohol-free establishment. Anyone under the influence of drugs, cannabis and/or alcohol will be asked to leave Manna immediately.

  • Everyone will be informed of the nature and purpose of any services rendered or revoked by Manna.

  • Each person has the choice to request, accept or refuse all or part of services offered by Manna.

  • Only service animals are allowed inside Manna buildings.

  • Everyone has the responsibility to maintain a litter-free community. Manna asks everyone to clean up after themselves and their pets.

  • Everyone has the option to submit grievances or complaints to Manna Staff in written form. Please ask any staff member for a grievance form and let us know if you require assistance to complete the form.

Manna’s Pet Agreement

  • Animals must be leashed and under supervision of an adult at all times.

  • Barking, aggression, and/or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

  • All animal waste/poop must be picked up immediately. Manna provides bags for this purpose.

  • Only service animals are allowed inside Manna buildings.

  • In the event that any animal is left unattended, La Plata County Animal Protection will be contacted and asked to investigate.

  • La Plata County requires all dogs to be licensed with the La Plata County Humane Society.

    How can Manna help? Manna can help with licensing, rabies vaccinations, and spaying/neutering through the Humane Society of La Plata County (located at 1111 South Camino Del Rio, Durango CO) and other organizations. For more information on animal services, please speak with a Manna staff member.

Garden Visitor Agreements

The Manna Garden is a biodynamic, organic garden that provides high quality, nutritious, and safe produce to our Community Kitchen Takeout Window and Food Market. Our Garden Visitor Agreements ensure that our produce meets these high standards while maintaining a beautiful, inclusive, and enjoyable garden experience for the community.

Garden Visitor Agreements

  • No smoking in the garden, only at designated smoking area.

  • Only service animals allowed (no pets).

  • Please do not harvest, water, or disturb plants.

  • No application of pesticides, herbicides, amendments or fertilizers, including compost.

  • To discourage attracting animals, do not leave food/waste in the garden or compost area.

  • Only staff allowed in the shed, greenhouse, and high tunnel growing area.

  • Do not touch (turn on, off, or move) water valves or irrigation system.

  • Do not handle garden tools or equipment.

  • Children are welcome and must be supervised by an adult.

  • Walkways must always remain clear for access.
